RA50 Hike
Cape Schanck Lighthouse – HIKE
The Hike: Bushrangers Bay Walking Track to Cape Schanck Lighthouse and Return
This hike takes us along the Bass Strait coast on the Mornington Peninsula through a variety of bushland and rugged clifftop scenery to the historic Cape Schanck Lighthouse and Museum. At the Lighthouse, the trail then leads down the 300 metre Boardwalk along the headland to the rocky pinnacle of Pulpit Rock and Pebble Beach. The trail itself is sandy and generally smooth with one or two places where we ascend and descend on formed steps through the steep gully of Burrabong Creek. Overall, an interesting and varied hike with lots of points of interest.
