Wilhelmina falls Day Hike – 15km, Grade 3

Hi everyone, want to do something amazing? Then come and join me and the Renewed After 50 hiking group. Newfound friends, and some hikers that you’ll already know enjoying new experiences, sights, friendships and more importantly the sense of elation when you do something like the Wilhelmina Falls Hike!
Location: Wihelmina Falls
This is a great hike and only an hour and a half from Melbourne.
You will be walking across the Murrindindi River on a swing bridge, then embarking a moderate but persistent climb towards the large rock slab.
You will be delighted by the waterfall with cascading water racing towards your feet and the waiting rockpool at the base. We then continue up a staircase which ascends beside the flows, then you will see wonderful views of the valleys and nearby ranges before taking the steep descent off the other side. This is a grade three walk as stated above so you will need you rested legs for this one.
This is a fully guided walk which will have you feeling revitalised for your new week ahead.

Does Not Include
Transport to and from location start point. For those that might require transport I have 3 seats available ($15 return trip) commencing from the usual pick up point Corner Glenferrie & Riversdale Roads at 7:00 am sharp.

Your lunch and snacks
2-3 Liter’s of water
A small backpack
Medication, camera, etc…
Sturdy walking boots, trail shoes or runners depending on the trail type and length.
We generally recommend shorts or light pants with layers for your upper body.
In hot weather include a hat, sunscreen and extra water with electrolytes
In cold weather include a waterproof jacket, beanie and spare jumper.
Once you register your interest you will then receive a more detailed email with meeting location, payment request & method and some other day walk information.
